Questions, answered honestly
How often does Amazon's rank change?
Continuously, and more than most sellers expect. Organic position responds to sales velocity, conversion rate, price changes, inventory status, and what shoppers actually clicked on for that query, so the same ASIN can sit at #14 in the morning and #9 by evening without you touching anything. That is why a single check is a snapshot and the daily digest is the real signal: one reading tells you where you are, a week of readings tells you which direction you are going.
What's the difference between organic and sponsored rank?
Organic rank is your unpaid position, earned through relevance and sales history. Sponsored placements are ad slots bought at auction, and they sit above and among the organic results wherever Amazon chooses to put them. This tool reports organic position only, and excludes sponsored slots from the count, because organic is the number you can actually influence with listing work. A shopper scrolling the page sees both, so your visual position is always lower than your organic rank suggests.
Why isn't my ASIN showing up in the top 100?
Two common reasons. Either the listing is not indexed for that keyword at all, which means the phrase is not in your title, bullets, or backend search terms, or it is indexed but ranks below 100, which is normal for a new listing or a broad, high-volume term. Check indexing first: search the exact keyword plus your ASIN on Amazon. If your product appears, you are indexed and the problem is rank. If it does not, the keyword is missing from your listing and no amount of ad spend will fix that.
How many keywords can I track for free?
5, each with a daily 6am ET email showing the current rank and the movement since yesterday. No card and no login. The 6th keyword is where the paid plan starts, and tracking a keyword again restarts its free window rather than being blocked.
Is this rank checker really free?
Yes. Anonymous checks are free, an email unlocks more per day, and tracking 5 keywords with the daily digest costs nothing. There is no trial, no card, and no seller login, because the tool reads public search results rather than your Seller Central account. The paid product is separate: the $39/mo plan adds unlimited keywords and full rank history for sellers who need the trend rather than today's number.
